Geberit views active risk management as a means of preventing negative surprises and, hence, as an important function for recognizing and exploiting opportunities. We therefore promote and support the development of a risk-conscious corporate philosophy by embracing a Group-wide risk management system. We take a comprehensive approach to this strategic task. Our risk management policy comprises all operational, financial and legal risks and all levels of hierarchy across the entire value chain.
The objective and purpose of risk management is to create a systematic and periodic overview of the current and future risks, strengths and weaknesses of the company and to actively manage these risks.
This is achieved by:
- transparent and multidisciplinary presentation of the risk situation in all fields of activity,
- clarification of responsibilities and clear delegation of duties in dealing with the identified and future risks in Geberit Group processes,
- ensuring that risks are reported and all identified risks are periodically monitored and reevaluated and
- raising risk awareness and improving risk-related communications across all business activities.
