| Evergreens |
 |
Is there anyone who would not recognize the classic Geberit products? Although anything but conspicuous, they have been an inherent feature in the world of sanitary technology for decades. Let us present some of our evergreens to you.

|   | Visible cistern (Model 127.000)
Geberit’s visible cistern (Model 127.000) with flush/stop function was introduced to the market in 1981. The cistern was first launched in Switzerland and Germany – in Germany it was initially sold without the flush/stop function because at that time it was forbidden to interrupt the flushing process. At a later stage, the cistern was sold throughout Europe. Plumbers came to identify so strongly with Model 127.000 that twelve years later an upgrade model had to be withdrawn from the market shortly after its introduction. Since then, Geberit has successfully continued to market this tried and proven cistern. By 1996, the visible cistern had been sold over ten million times. Even the introduction of water-saving technologies could not long weaken the success of the “granddaddy” of our visible cisterns. |

 |   | Urinal partition wall
More than thirty years ago in 1972, Geberit launched the urinal partition wall for the public sector – at that time, it was the first Geberit product to have been constructed with foam-moulding technology. Due to the robust material, the moulded parts are rigid and well-protected against vandalism. This timeless design was slightly adapted in 1989 and continues to enjoy a lot of success with our customers. More than 200,000 partition walls have been sold to date. |

 |   | PE product line
The PE pipes by Geberit have proved to be a reliable product for over 30 years. Most of the present-day program was already on the market by the late 1960s. And new components are continuously being designed to broaden and complete the assortment of pipes and fittings.
A central element of the PE range is the electroweld sleeve coupling that was developed in the 70s and that has been sold about 100 million times since then. The “memory effect” makes this product unique. This ability allows the coupling to shrink back to its original diameter after having been warmed and expanded during the welding process.
With the Geberit Pluvia system, the PE line also offers its own roof drainage system. To date, only very few companies have been able to copy this gravity-induced vacuum technology based on the Bernoulli principle. In 1976, Geberit acquired the license from a Finnish manufacturer. In 1985, the system was adapted to Geberit PE and patented. Further development of the system including a software package has ensured us the leadership in this field. This product plays an important role as a door opener to project business in new markets. |
