Chemical compatibility
Our chemical compatibility checks are intended to support customers with reliable confirmation of suitability. This is to reduce the risk of early system failure, and to help ensure metals, plastics and sealing materials within Geberit products are not adversely affected.
In the building services industry, supply and drainage systems will often transport chemicals within them, particularly in the healthcare and industrial sectors. Some chemicals can be aggressive to piping materials, so it is vital to consider what they are being used for.
When checking compatibility, it is vital that information such as upper and lower tolerances of operating temperature and pressure are supplied, along with chemical concentration or dilution, proposed material(s), and project location.
We then work in conjunction with our System Specialists to confirm if the criteria given is acceptable or not for Geberit components.
